About Globaltek
Globaltek is an IT services provider that serves large companies across Latin America and North America. We handle hardware and data center infrastructure, software licensing, cloud solutions, managed IT services, and end-user computing. Our head office is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and we operate in 15 countries in the Americas.
About the Role
We're hiring a Junior Accountant to take on the main finance and accounting work for Globaltek Mexico. You'll own the monthly accounting cycle, tax filings, and regulatory compliance for the Mexican entity.
This is also a regional role. When needed, you'll help with finance and accounting for other Globaltek companies, including the United States, Honduras, Peru, Panama, Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. You won't support every country all the time. You'll step in wherever the business needs help.
Key Responsibilities
Globaltek Mexico (primary responsibility)
Run the full monthly accounting cycle: record transactions, reconcile bank accounts, and close the books each month.
Prepare and file monthly and annual tax returns with the SAT (ISR, IVA, withholdings, DIOT).
Keep electronic accounting (contabilidad electrónica) up to date and submit it to the SAT on time.
Issue, receive, and validate CFDI 4.0 electronic invoices and payment complements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, collections follow-up, and vendor payments.
Support payroll-related obligations (IMSS, INFONAVIT, state payroll tax) with internal teams or outside providers.
Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
Keep required corporate, tax, and banking documents current, and support external auditors and accountants.
Keep up with changes in Mexican tax and accounting regulations and make sure the company stays compliant.
Regional support (as needed)
Help Globaltek companies in other countries with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end closes.
Support invoicing, vendor payments, and cash flow tracking across entities.
Coordinate with local accountants and advisors in each country on tax filings and compliance deadlines.
Help prepare consolidated financial reports and intercompany reconciliations.
Handle other finance tasks the regional team needs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Contaduría Pública), Finance, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in accounting, tax, or finance, ideally in Mexico.
Solid working knowledge of Mexican tax law and SAT obligations (CFDI 4.0, electronic accounting, monthly and annual returns).
Experience with accounting software [e.g., CONTPAQi, Aspel, QuickBooks, SAP Business One, or similar].
Advanced Excel.
Fluent Spanish and intermediate to advanced English, spoken and written. You'll work with teams in the U.S. and across Latin America.
Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Willing to learn how accounting and taxes work in other Latin American countries and the U.S.
Nice to Have
Experience at a multinational or a company with more than one legal entity.
Exposure to intercompany transactions, consolidations, or U.S. GAAP / IFRS.
Experience in IT, technology, or distribution companies.
