We are looking for a colleague who enjoys negotiation, investigation, and direct interaction with businesses. This is a hands-on role that involves field work, commercial dispute resolution, and business negotiations rather than traditional litigation.

About the Role

As a debt collection executive, you will represent international creditors and credit insurers in commercial recovery matters involving Mexican companies. You will conduct site visits, meet directly with company directors, owners, controllers, and financial decision-makers, investigate disputes, obtain evidence, assess recovery prospects, and negotiate payment solutions.

This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving complex commercial conflicts through communication, analysis, and negotiation.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct meetings and on-site visits with importers and debtors throughout Mexico.
- Investigate disputed commercial transactions and non-payment claims.
- Gather and analyze documentation and evidence.
- Negotiate settlement agreements and repayment plans.
- Obtain recognition of debts and support recovery efforts.
- Evaluate debtor situations and prepare recovery recommendations.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, shipping companies, and other relevant parties when necessary.




- Prepare detailed reports in English for international clients and credit insurers.
- Develop recovery strategies tailored to each case.

What We Are Looking For

Required

- Law or business degree.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Interest in commercial disputes, investigations, and international trade.
- Willingness to travel within Mexico.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
- Persuasive

Preferred

- Experience in debt recovery, commercial litigation, dispute resolution, international trade, credit insurance, investigations, compliance, or commercial negotiations.
- Knowledge of import/export operations and international commercial transactions.
- Experience dealing directly with business owners and corporate decision-makers.
