About the Role

KION Group IT is looking for a Software Release Specialist to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of functional and technical releases across our global IT application landscape.

In this position, you will work closely with agile development teams, Test Managers, Release Managers, and international stakeholders to ensure releases and hotfixes are properly documented, tested, approved, and deployed.

Your Responsibilities

- Prepare and coordinate releases and hotfixes within the productive IT application landscape for the North America business.
- Maintain, update, and communicate the release plan based on the approved scope and business priorities.
- Coordinate release content and change requests with agile development teams.
- Create and maintain release documentation.
- Collaborate with Test Managers and Release Managers to ensure releases are tested and implemented successfully.
- Identify risks related to release processes, timelines, dependencies, and major project releases.
- Develop and coordinate mitigation strategies for release-related risks.
- Define, update, and document approval processes aligned with release cycles.
- Coordinate release and deployment plans according to North American business requirements.
- Support testing activities throughout the different release phases.




- Collaborate with globally distributed teams as part of a large-scale international transformation project.

Preferred Technology Environment Experience or familiarity with some of the following technologies is preferred:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP BW/4HANA
- SAP Master Data Governance — MDG
- SAP cloud solutions, including CPQ, FSM, SAC, and SAP Datasphere
- SAP Solution Manager
- RealTech SmartChange
- CI/CD tools and methodologies
- ServiceNow
- Remedyforce
- Salesforce

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Professional experience in release management, deployment coordination, application support, or a similar IT function.
- Experience working in project-based or agile environments.
- Knowledge of SAP applications or SAP logistics solutions.
- Basic understanding of non-SAP applications, internally developed systems, or Salesforce.
- Ability to coordinate multiple teams, activities, timelines, and dependencies.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and propose solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
