Solution Design Engineer

Position Summary The Solution Design Engineer is responsible for developing innovative, data-driven warehousing and supply chain solutions that support business growth, customer acquisition, and operational excellence. This role translates customer requirements, RFQ inputs, and complex datasets into scalable operational, financial, and technology-enabled warehousing solutions.

The ideal candidate has experience in Contract Logistics, strong analytical and financial modeling skills, and the ability to collaborate with operations, commercial teams, customers, and support functions to design, cost, and implement solutions across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities





- Lead the development of warehousing and supply chain solutions for new and existing customers.
- Analyse RFQs/RFPs, customer requirements, operational data, and commercial assumptions to design competitive and scalable solutions.
- Extract, validate, and analyse large datasets to support operational design, labor modeling, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
- Develop logistics solutions considering operational processes, service requirements, technology, automation opportunities, equipment, and facility constraints.
- Build process maps, operational flows, productivity models, staffing plans, layouts, and engineering studies.
- Develop and maintain pricing models to support RFQs, solution development, budgeting, profitability analysis, and customer proposals.
- Utilize intermediate to advanced Excel tools, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, lookups, and scenario analysis to support engineering and costing activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, automation, and digitalization across supply chain operations.
- Lead or support solution implementation projects, ensuring alignment between design assumptions and operational execution.
- Prepare and present solution recommendations, business cases, and project updates to customers and internal stakeholders.




- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, IT, Procurement, and Commercial teams throughout the solution development lifecycle.
- Monitor solution performance and continuously identify opportunities to improve cost, service, productivity, and customer experience.
- Support project planning activities, including timelines, budgets, resources, and implementation requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in Solution Design for Contract Logistics, Logistics Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Advanced knowledge of Contract Logistics, Logistics engineering and solution development
- Project implementation and management
- Experience supporting RFQs, customer proposals, and solution development initiatives.
- Knowledge of warehousing operations, labor planning, productivity analysis, and logistics cost modeling.
- Experience developing pricing models, business cases, and financial analyses.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Advanced English proficiency
