About the position: The Training Specialist is responsible for coordinating and administering the company’s training and development programs, ensuring that employees receive the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for their positions. This role manages the complete training cycle, including training needs analysis, annual planning, execution, evaluation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
The position also supports the company’s compliance with applicable training and labor requirements by ensuring proper training documentation, records, and processes are maintained in accordance with STPS requirements and company standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify training needs based on business requirements, performance gaps, job competencies, legal requirements, and organizational priorities.
- Develop and maintain the annual Training and Development Plan.
- Coordinate and execute technical, operational, administrative, safety, compliance, and soft-skills training programs.
- Coordinate internal and external trainers, instructors, consultants, and training providers.
- Manage training logistics, including schedules, facilities, materials, attendance, equipment, and learning resources.
- Develop and update training materials, presentations, manuals, evaluations, and other learning resources.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction training programs for new employees.
- Support the development of technical and operational training programs for manufacturing personnel.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, knowledge tests, and follow-up activities.
- Maintain accurate employee training records, course attendance, evaluations, certifications, and competency documentation.
- Manage and maintain training-related information and documentation required for SIRCE and STPS compliance.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of documentation required for training audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
- Coordinate the issuance and control of applicable DC-3.
- Monitor compliance with applicable training requirements and coordinate corrective actions when gaps are identified.
- Prepare training reports, dashboards, and KPI analysis for management.
- Monitor the training budget and coordinate the appropriate use of allocated resources.
- Evaluate training providers based on quality, effectiveness, cost, and service performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve training processes through standardization, digitalization, and automation.
Requirements :
- 2–4 years of experience in Training, Learning & Development, Human Resources, or a related area.
- Experience managing training programs in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with training records and compliance documentation.
- Experience coordinating training programs for both operational and administrative personnel.
- Experience with SIRCE and STPS training compliance is preferred.
- Conversational english
Work Experience:
- Knowledge of training and development processes and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Mexican labor and training regulations applicable to employers.
- Knowledge of STPS requirements related to employee training and development.
- Knowledge and practical experience with SIRCE and the management of training-related information.
- Knowledge of DC-3 and their administration.
- Knowledge of training documentation and evidence required for audits and inspections.
- Training needs analysis and competency assessment.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
- Experience developing training materials and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with HRIS, LMS, or digital learning platforms is preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills
