Job SummaryWe are hiring three contract Systems Administrators / Operations Engineers to support our infrastructure and internal tooling.
This is a hands-on, pragmatic systems and IT administration role — not a software engineering position, and not a deep Linux kernel development role.
We're looking for candidates who are comfortable navigating computer systems, cloud consoles, and executing well-documented, runbook-driven procedures with sound judgment.What You'll Do- Manage high-volume daily ticket queues, prioritizing and resolving issues efficiently- Run and monitor internal repair and remediation tooling- Execute queries to investigate, diagnose, and clear operational backlogs- Manage and triage escalated issues that fall outside standard procedures- Monitor and oversee overall infrastructure health- Maintain and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),



and help identify where they need updatesWhat We're Looking For- Solid foundational knowledge of computer systems and operations- Comfort working in command-line environments- Strong Linux administration and operations skills from the command line- Basic familiarity with GitHub.Com (enough to understand the product being supported)- A willingness and aptitude to dig beyond what the runbook provides — runbooks won't always be perfect, and users won't always give complete details- Experience administering GitHub.Com at the organization level (org settings, repository configurations, and permissions)- Background in operational troubleshooting- Terraform experienceTop Skills for the Right Candidate1.
