Description
Is responsible to lead Compliance matters that affect international trade operations, audit processes & support the department in ensuring that AutoZone and subsidiraries remain compliant with all international trade compliance laws and regulations. Additionaly this position oversees all import accounting processes and requirements being a liason with accounting and tax areas to meet regulatory needs

Responsibilities

Evaluate and advice opportunely to Finance Director and VP about trade compliance aspects and risks of proposed business decisions

Analyze and interpret import & export regulations in order to guarantee acknowledgment on current changes

Monitor compliance activities and the effectiveness of internal controls.
Review and collaborate with International Trade, Logistics and Replenishment teams regarding their overall and trade compliance internal controls (procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, and tools) to ensure they are updated and compliant in import/export matters.





Elaborate on a monthly basis the conciliation to compare GLOSA and AutoZone import/export information.

Prepare the annual import/tax reconciliation for statutory reports.

Collaborate with Accounting, Tax and Supply Chain departments to provide visibility on import taxes, duties and custom brokers management.
Audit samples of calculations related with preferential treatment under Free Trade Agreements.

Review applications for export/import licenses and other requests for authorization.
Audit the process of government authorizations managment throughout their life cycle.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.

International Trade, Logistics, SCM, Finance

Two to three years.

Advanced
