Our client School in Mexico City is seeking a Primary/Elementary Substitute/Cover teacher for full time immediate hire.
This school is located in Cuajimalpa.
Main Responsibilities:
● To provide cover for absence in the Primary School to ensure continuity of learning for students
● To contribute to Primary School duties, House Events, and other related activities
● To flexibly provide teaching support in other areas when cover capacity allows, including reading tests and literacy learning support
Teaching:
● Covering for any absent teachers in the Primary School.
● Following the teacher's plans to ensure that continuity and quality in teaching and learning are maintained during the teacher's absence.
● Marking the work set and giving timely feedback to facilitate positive academic development.
● Following the school's programmes: Cambridge English, White Rose Maths, IPC, SCARF for SEL Classes, etc.
● Having a bank of interesting cover lessons, in a range of subjects, for emergencies.
● Following weekly Team Notes, the Winpenny Handbook, and Winpenny Professional Expectations for Teachers.
● Completing any training required by the school, participating in staff meetings, and regular in-service training (INSET) as part of continuing professional development (CPD)
● Being an example for children to follow
● Organising and giving the termly BURT reading test to all Primary children
● Reading with children who need extra support and giving feedback on their progress
● Performing any reasonable task requested by the Senior Leadership Team

● Creating a positive learning environment that motivates children to be the best they can be




● Respecting the established rules and routines of the class
● Facilitating learning by establishing a relationship with all children in the class
● Maintaining discipline according to the school's Behaviour Policy
● Promoting the IPC Personal Learning Goals

● Working flexibly and maintaining harmony
● Collaborating with the Primary Team in meetings
● Taking part in special school events, outings, activities, and school assemblies
Health and Safety:
● Taking responsibility for the health and safety of pupils at all times
● Supervising children during break duties according to the duty timetable
● Reporting any safeguarding concerns immediately to the Circle Around the Child
Teachers:

Additional Requirements:
● Hold a valid teaching qualification for Primary education recognised by the SEP
● Have at least two years of relevant work experience
● Have an excellent record of attendance and punctuality
● Have a clear criminal record
