POSITION SUMMARY:The Quality Engineer II is responsible for providing investigation and root cause analysis of product failures.
Works closely with various Engineering functions (Reliability, Design, Manufacturing) in a closed-loop, corrective-action process to improve product quality and reliability performanceRESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for working with cross-functional groups to coordinate strategies for meeting customer's requirements in all quality areas that also serve AE's business needs.Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive action due customer (internal-external) complaints.Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures.Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system.Interact with Engineering and Operations to ensure an appropriate transfer of new products, PPAP.Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.Participates in Design Reviews to ensure compliance with reliability standards and customer requirements.Review Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission.Perform weekly, monthly trend analysis and coordinate corrective actions with involved areas.Defines SPC to manufacturing processes and monitor weekly and monthly performance, implement countermeasure.Interact constantly with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Materials, Support Areas to ensure robust processes using PPAP,



SPC and LEAN tools.QUALIFICATIONS:Proficient knowledge and troubleshooting skills in electronic circuits, components, PCBs, and manufacturing processesExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliar with diagnostic equipment (SEM, EDX, X-ray analysis, scopes), statistical yield analysis, physical failure, and root-cause analysisMeasurable and extensive experience with influencing and negotiating in complex situations.Able to define process criteria to meet product and process requirements.Fluent EnglishLEAN Manufacturing toolsExcellent computer skills (Statistical Software, Office-Excel)Strong Negotiation and Communication skillsStrong Leader and fearless change agentStrong Team work skillsData drivenWork proactivelyRequires minimum 3-4-year degree in a relevant Engineering disciplineRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsExpert in determining root cause of failures, correlating to historical data, and driving corrective actionEssentialExperience in Electronics Industry PreferableExperience in Automotive Industry and/or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), PreferableEDUCATION:Bachelor's degree (Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering)Six Sigma Certification preferablePossesses a thorough knowledge of products and applications Drives improvements in corporate functional capabilitiesTypically requires a minimum of 3 years engineering experience#J-*****-Ljbffr
