Here's the DealThis is a senior leadership role for our Lead Logistics (LLP) pillar in Mexico, leading a multi-site team through a layer of team leaders and reporting into the Regional Head of Lead Logistics CX & Operations.
It comes at a moment of growth: we are expanding our Lead Logistics footprint in the Mexico GSC and transforming how we operate through new digital platforms.
Day-to-day operations sit with your team leaders.
Your focus is the strategy above them: shaping the operating model, anticipating challenges before they surface, building a strong partnership with our Area colleagues, and positioning the GSC as a true value-adding partner.
You will also hold credible end-to-end Lead Logistics conversations with customers and product teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the strategic roadmap for the Lead Logistics Operations & CX pillar in MexicoLead the migration of Lead Logistics work from the Area into the GSC, including team scale-up and capability buildDrive the transformation toward SCP, NFTP and related digital platforms, with accountability for adoptionBuild a strategic, lasting partnership with the Mexico Area leadership teamDesign the operating model: accountabilities, decision rights, governance forums and escalation pathsOwn service delivery performance, SLAs,
productivity and cost-to-serve across the pillarForecast operational risks and challenges, and steer team leaders toward resolutionMentor, coach and develop team leaders into a high-performing leadership layerLead end-to-end Lead Logistics conversations with customers and product teamsCollaborate across multicultural, multi-site teams in Mexico, Manila and wider Latin AmericaEnsure governance, risk management and compliance across the operationThe BasicsAcademic Background: Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related fieldYears of Experience: 8+ years in logistics or supply chain operations, including 4+ years leading leaders in large, multi-site teamsTechnical Skills: Operating model design, SLA and KPI governance, cost-to-serve and productivity management, digital platform adoptionSoftware: MS Office (Advanced), supply chain and transport management platforms; exposure to SCP is an advantage*Please consider that, as per Mexican regulations on foreign employment, we are currently only able to consider Mexican workers for our Americas Hub in Mexico City.Must HaveEnd-to-end Lead Logistics (LLP/4PL) expertise, covering booking through invoicing.Financial Audit & Billing (FA&B;) experience is a strong advantageProven experience in work migration and business transformationExperience leading multicultural teams across different countries or locationsEnglish Level: C1CompetenciesStrategic thinkingStakeholder partnership and influenceChange leadershipCustomer centricityPeople leadership and coachingExecutive communicationWhat we offerAt Maersk, we offer exciting global career opportunities that enhance your skills through our award-winning,
