Position SummaryQualitel is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to manage and analyze standard costs, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances across our production operations.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership to ensure accurate cost data, drive margin improvement, and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for materials, labor, and overheadPrepare and review monthly variance analyses (purchase price, labor, overhead, and yield variances) and report findings to managementSupport month-end close processes related to inventory valuation, WIP, and cost of goods soldPerform periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts; investigate and resolvediscrepanciesAnalyze product margins and provide cost insights to support pricing and quoting decisionsPartner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost‐saving opportunities and process improvementsAssist with annual budgeting and forecasting related to manufacturing costsEnsure compliance with internal controls, GAAP,



and company accounting policiesSupport internal and external audits with cost accounting documentation and analysisMaintain and improve cost accounting processes and reporting within the company's ERP systemQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required3–5 years of progressive cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accountingExperience with ERP systems required; experience with Aptean/Intuitive a strong plusAdvanced Excel skills required; experience with financial modeling and data analysisExcellent analytical, problem‐solving, and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‐driven environmentCMA or CPA a plus, but not requiredExperience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing industries a plusExperience leveraging AI tools to improve reporting, analysis, or process efficiency a plus#J-*****-Ljbffr
