about the job

the role of a java financial markets developer intern is to design and implement client-specific requirements. This is in the capital markets and commodities space. The person(s) hired for this role will utilize sdlc & software design best practices to implement solutions for general clients. Ongoing training, access to internal subject matter expertise, and collaborative support will be provided.

key requirements

- graduating summer 2026 or winter 2026
- experience with data analytics, including processing, analyzing, and presentation
- java development experience
- strong sql skills
- excellent communication skills
- self-motivated and able to learn independently
- strong collaboration skills

nice to haves include:

- familiarity with basic financial securities
- basic understanding of capital markets and/or commodity markets
- experience using app development frameworks such as spring
- experience working with non-sql databases
