TheQHSEAdvisorisresponsibleforensuringthatthecompany'sQuality,Health,Safety,andEnvironmental(QHSE)policiesandproceduresareeffectivelyimplementedandmaintainedwithinanofficeenvironment,supportingoffshoredrillingoperations.Theroleinvolvescompliancemonitoring,riskassessment,trainingcoordination,andcontinuousimprovementinitiativestoenhancesafetycultureandenvironmentalsustainability.TheQHSEAdvisorcanbeallocatedtooffshoresupportdutiesasdictatedbyoperationsandDirectorofQHSE.

JobSpecificResponsibilities

Quality,Health&SafetyResponsibilities;:

- ImplementandmaintainQHSEpolicies,procedures,andmanagementsystemsincompliancewithcompanyandregulatorystandards.
- DevelopanagendaforactionitemswiththeRigManagerpriortodepartureoffshoreandreviewresultswithRigManageraftervisit.
- CoordinatewithQHSESupervisoranyQHSEmandatesforworkoffshoreonthespecificunitthatwillbeworkingwith.
- Conductfacilitysurveys,ISMauditsandworkinprogresstoensurecontinuousimprovementinthehealthandsafetyprograms.
- EffectivelyuseandsupportallSafetyManagementprogramsemployedbytheorganization.
- Reviewrigspecificproceduresandidentifyopportunitiesforimprovement.
- Audit,identifyandcommunicatebestpractices,lessonslearned,safetyandenvironmentalertwithoperationsandthecompanyfleet.
- Ensureimplementationoffindingsandresultsarecommunicatedwithmanagementforappropriateaction.
- Coach,observeandmentorthesafetyofficersonboardeachunitinthecompanyandriskassessmentprocesses.
- Conductriskassessmentsandsupporthazardidentificationprocessesforoffshoredrillingoperations.
- Monitorandreportoncompliancewithoccupationalhealthandsafetyregulations,ensuringbestpracticesarefollowed.
- Investigateincidents,nearmisses,andnon-conformances,providingrootcauseanalysisandrecommendingcorrectiveactions.
- Assistinemergencypreparednessplanning,drills,andresponsecoordination.
- Conductinternalauditsandsupportexternalauditsbyregulatorybodies,clients,andcertificationagencies.




- Ensureproperdocumentationofsafetyprocedures,workpermits,andincidentreports.
- OrganizeQHSEtrainingprograms,toolboxtalks,andawarenesscampaigns.

EnvironmentalResponsibilities:

- Monitorandassesstheenvironmentalimpactofoffshoredrillingactivities,ensuringcompliancewithenvironmentallawsandstandards.
- Developandimplementenvironmentalmanagementplans,spillresponsestrategies,andwastemanagementprograms.
- Conductenvironmentalriskassessments,includingemissions,discharges,andhazardousmaterialsmanagement.
- EnsurecompliancewiththeInternationalConventionforthePreventionofPollutionfromShips(MARPOL),OsloandParisConventionsfortheProtectionofMarineEnvironment(OSPAR),andotherenvironmentalregulationsapplicabletooffshoreoperations.
- Collectandanalyzeenvironmentalperformancedata,preparingreportsforregulatoryagenciesandinternalstakeholders.
- Providetechnicalguidanceonpollutionprevention,sustainabilityinitiatives,andresourceconservation.
- Supportoffshoreteamsinmanagingenvironmentalincidents,includingspillresponsecoordinationandreporting.

Qualifications

Preferablyabachelor'sdegree:EnvironmentalEngineeringorQHSEDegree,oranyequivalentfield.

Yearsofexperience:5years'experienceinQHSEoroperations(Offshoresupervisorylevelexperiencerequired).

CertificatesinISM/ISPSandISOenvironmentaltrainingpreferred.

Mustpossessexpertiseandknowledgeofhowtocoachpeopleintheproperplanningofworkwiththeidentificationofrisksandunsafehazards.

Skills/abilities

ProficientinverbalandwrittenEnglishlanguageskillsandabletoeffectivelycommunicatewithallcrewmembers.
