We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Buyer to join our team in Mexico City. This role is idóneo for professionals with strong experience in procurement, supplier management and negotiations, who can challenge internal requirements, optimize purchasing decisions and contribute directly to business profitability. The successful candidate will lead supplier relationships, improve procurement processes and support the organization through a consultative and analytical approach
Function Description The Procurement Team Leader will be responsible for managing procurement activities, supplier negotiations and purchasing strategies while ensuring alignment with the organization's operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement strategies and supplier negotiations to achieve the best commercial and operational outcomes.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers while ensuring service quality, cost efficiency and timely delivery.
- Develop and monitor procurement KPIs, dashboards and analytical reports to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and other departments to identify requirements and propose value-driven purchasing solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement process, focusing on cost optimization, efficiency and risk mitigation.
Requirements Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering,
Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
Experience
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain roles.
- Proven experience negotiating with suppliers and managing strategic supplier relationships.
- Experience developing procurement KPIs, reporting dashboards and comparative analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including inventory management, lead times, supplier performance and procurement compliance.
