Customs & Import Compliance Analyst

How You Will Make a Difference

The Customs & Import Compliance Analyst is responsible for preparing, filing and monitoring import permits and Electronic Manifests of Value through VUCEM, supporting the compliant importation of footwear and related consumer goods into Mexico. This role reviews shipping and customs documentation for completeness and accuracy, helping prevent delays, authorization issues and regulatory risks.

Skills for Success





- 1–2 years of relevant experience processing import permits, licenses or foreign trade procedures through VUCEM, ideally within footwear, apparel, consumer goods or retail operations.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and digital document management.
- Knowledge of import quota categories and general import operations.
- Knowledge of Mexican import regulations and procedures before the relevant authorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.

What You Will Be Doing

- Review and validate invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and certificates of origin to support accurate permit submissions and authorization by the Mexican Ministry of Economy.
- File, validate and monitor import permit applications in VUCEM, follow up through authorization and maintain accurate process reports.
- Prepare Electronic Manifests of Value in VUCEM by consolidating and reviewing documentation and data to prevent submission errors. Previous experience with this specific process is desirable but not required.
- Maintain complete digital customs records following customs clearance.
- Support additional customs and foreign trade compliance activities as required.
