As a Mech Design Engr II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions that meet stringent aerospace standards. You will apply your expertise in mechanical design principles and utilize advanced CAD tools to support the creation of high-quality, reliable aerospace components and systems.

You will report directly to our Senior Mechanical Design Manager, part of Aerospace Engineering and Technology, Control Systems (CS) organization, and you’ll work out of our Mexicali, Mexico location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies that drive the performance and success of Honeywell Aerospace products, contributing to safer and more efficient aviation technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies according to specifications and requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and ensure seamless integration with other systems.

Support results presented in design reviews with the appropriate documentation to meet program deliverables and requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE





Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

3+ years of experience in mechanical design and development

Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies relevant to aerospace applications

Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO or NX, and experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools

Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications

Familiarity with aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and regulatory standards

Advanced English-speaking language.

WE VALUE

Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience in new product development for environmental control systems (Heat Transfer and Turbomachinery preferred).

Proven understanding of Aerospace drawing requirements and industry standards.

Experience creating 3D models and detailed drawings in a CAD environment (NX preferred).

Experience collaborating in a product data management system (Teamcenter preferred).

Capable of performing low-mid complexity design solutions of mechanical components and systems.

Proven understanding of GD&T; and drawing interpretation per ASME Y14 Series.

Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes applicable for Aero components.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly
