Program Overview:

Team Up Ameri Corps places Ameri Corps members at organizations throughout Southwest Colorado. While these members serve as part of a regional cohort and participate in regional cohort trainings and activities, they spend the majority of their term serving directly at a specific host site organization.

Through collaborative service, Team Up Ameri Corps members develop their own professional skills and passions, expand effectiveness of southwest Colorado organizations, and ultimately support people to thrive.

Team Up has been utilizing collective impact initiatives since 2015 to collaborate across sectors and promote communication towards common goals within rural Southwest Colorado communities.

i AM MUSIC is an ecosystem founded by artists for artists serving as a creative hub for collaboration through empowerment, education, and events. i AM MUSIC is committed to its mission to pursue innovative ways to empower and encourage mutual support among musicians of every level while cultivating originality, and creating opportunities and space for collaboration and mentorship for both youth and aspiring as well as professional musicians.

Our dynamic team of music coaches are working artist-entrepreneurs that have thousands of hours real-world experience, exposing our students to different teaching styles and personalities. i AM MUSIC students learn to speak the language of music, work with other students, execute short and long-term project goals, and gain experience real-life performance opportunities alongside professionals. Coaches and students alike- it is important to our mission that we are all working alongside each other and all evolving on our path.

Service Position Summary:

The Ameri Corps Member will support our high school internship programs, youth music exploration, and community music events. This position will serve directly as a mentor with young people who are interested in music, music production, performance, and careers within the music industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Team Up Ameri Corps members serve directly at their Host Site organization to develop, implement, and enhance programs, projects, and activities through direct and indirect service. Duties include:

Essential Functions (Primary Responsibilities): High School Internship & Youth Music Support Coordinate and oversee high school internship programs alongside i AM Music Staff with relevant experience and interest Serve directly with youth participating in music-focused programs Collaborate with interns to support proper completion and tracking of required program hours Track student participation, progress, and program outcomes Create new opportunities for student alumni engagement and support Support students in exploring their musical interests and aspirations Assist with creation and development music concepts, activities, workshops,



and programming Connect youth to opportunities and career pathways within the music industry Provide structured mentorship and support to participating youth Festival & Event Support* Assist with planning and implementing festival activities Support growth and creativity in regards to event and festival logistics Support the transition and expansion of the festival at its new location Assist with increasing event marketing, promotion, and outreach Implement programming, activities, and new festival areas Opportunity to provide stage management and artist support alongside staff during festival events Assist with volunteer coordination Help manage equipment, supplies, and inventory for events Support event setup and breakdown Provide hands-on support during events and festival operations

S. Citizenship or lawful permanent resident status required Basic understanding of music and/or music production. Ability to play an instrument, sing, produce music, or demonstrate other music-related experience is preferred. Passion for music and helping young people explore their interests. Basic understanding of event production or willingness to learn. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate well with high school students, staff, volunteers, artists, and community members. Basic computer and technology skills, including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc.). Ability to stay organized and track student hours, activities, and progress. Ability to perform physical aspects of event production, including lifting and moving supplies and equipment. Willingness to collaborate in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. Dependable, flexible,



and able to take on different responsibilities as programs and events evolve. Term of Service - Time Commitment:

This is a Minimum Time national and community service position requiring approximately 20 hours/week. The position begins February 1, 2027 and ends May 31, 2027. Versátil hours are required, including occasional evening and weekend commitments. Service on the following dates is required:

February 1: Host Site & Ameri Corps Orientation March 31: Farmworkers Day of Service 2nd Wednesdays, monthly: Cohort Connections in-person in May virtual in February Training and Support Provided:

Team Up Ameri Corps members receive significant training and experience in community engagement, project implementation, leadership, diverse populations, and more. Up to 20% of total hours served may be spent in applicable, approved trainings. Members will be supervised and supported by Jesse Ogle ( ), as well as by Team Up Ameri Corps program staff. The PY 26-27 cohort of Team Up Ameri Corps members serving throughout the region will also act as additional resources and support for each other.

Location and Service Conditions:

This position is based at 1315 Main Avenue #207, Durango, CO 81301. Occasional off-site engagement and partnership activities, meetings, etc. will be required.

Benefits: A living allowance of approx. $666.41/per pay period (twice per month). Taxes are deducted and the living allowance is distributed by direct deposit to the member’s bank account. An education award of $1,565.08 upon successful completion of term of service. Health Insurance Reimbursements up to $50/month, if serving in a 1700-hour position or 30 or more hours/week Childcare Assistance, if qualifications are met It is possible to temporarily postpone repayment of qualified student loans through forbearance while serving as an Ameri Corps member Mileage reimbursement for travel to required Ameri Corps trainings and gatherings Non-tangible benefits including extensive training, valuable experience, networking, and the opportunity to serve the local community in a crucial area of need Additional Host Site Benefits: Free tickets to music activations.
