Mission of the Role:

The Warranty Technician performs hands-on testing and initial triage of returned automotive electronic components. This role supports engineers in root cause analysis by preparing test setups, executing diagnostics, and documenting observations. The technician ensures accurate data collection and contributes to the overall efficiency of the WEC.

Key Objectives of this Role: Perform bench testing and initial diagnostics on returned parts. Set up and operate test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and simulation tools. Document test results and observations for engineering review. Assist in the preparation of parts for deeper analysis (e.g., disassembly, visual inspection). Maintain lab equipment and ensure calibration and readiness. Support engineers in implementing standardized testing procedures. Key Performance Indicators: Accuracy: Percentage of correct root causes identified vs. presente failure after customer impact. Cycle Time: Average lead time per triage, teardown, and analysis stage. Test Outcome Quality: Rate of protocols passed/failed vs.



validated teardown findings. Effective Collaboration: Timeliness and resolution efficacy of handovers to CQE/Engineering. NTF rate: NTF rate to be minimized Key Year One Deliverables: Triage and test at least 300 returned components. Maintain 100% calibration compliance for lab equipment. Implement 1+ improvement in lab workflow or documentation process. Achieve >95% accuracy in test data reporting. Qualification, Experience and Skills: Technical diploma or associate degree in electronics, electrical, mechatronics, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in electronics testing or automotive diagnostics. Familiarity with basic diagnostic tools and electronic component handling, soldering process. Detail-oriented with good documentation and organizational skills. Fluent in English; additional regional language skills are a plus.
