Harnessing Solutions Engineer

Reports to: Procurement Director

About the Role

We are looking for a Harnessing Solutions Engineer with strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in wire harnesses, cable assemblies, automotive electrical systems, or related electrical interconnection solutions.

The idóneo candidate will have a solid understanding of harness components, manufacturing processes, technical specifications, BOMs, engineering changes, and product launches.

Experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Development, or supplier negotiations is highly desirable, but not mandatory.

The position will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers to support the development, sourcing, industrialization, and continuous supply of harnessing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for wire harness and cable assembly solutions, from development and qualification through serial production.




- Analyze technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, electrical diagrams, and engineering requirements.
- Support the selection and technical evaluation of wire & cable, connectors, terminals, contacts, housings, seals, sleeves, glands, molded/overmolded components, coverings, clips, and fastening systems.
- Evaluate alternative components, materials, and technical solutions in collaboration with Engineering and suppliers.
- Support NPI, product launches, prototypes, pre-series, engineering changes, and product transfers.
- Collaborate with suppliers on technical feasibility, component qualification, capacity, quality, lead times, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in supplier qualification and development activities.
- Support troubleshooting related to component availability, technical deviations, shortages, obsolescence, and production continuity.
- Work with Quality and Engineering on APQ
