Position Summary

This position is responsible for support of General Ledger, specifically for month end /yead end closing, account reconciliations and analysis, and financial reporting.

Essential Functions

- Account reconciliations ranging from bank reconciliations to customer rebates reconciliations and analysis
- Month-end/year end close activities including journal entries, corporate reporting and rollover of balances
- Inter and intracompany eliminations, reporting and reconciliations
- SAP month end processing including assessments, allocations, and foreign exchange valuation.




- IFRS reporting packages preparation
- Communicate to central finance team on status of monthly closing including the preparation and submission of SEM German GAAP reporting
- Lead posting of freight activity and re-allocation of freight expenses
- Assist other areas of finance with various projects and questions
- Assist with KMPG (interim/final) audit requests
- Special projects as assigned by manager

Knowledge
- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and deep understanding of account reconciliations, accounting principles and procedures.

Experience
- 1-4+ years of experience in general accounting within a manufacturing or public accounting environment.
- SAP or other ERP experience strongly preferred.

Skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
- Able to confidently and efficiently correspond to all levels of management.
- Advanced independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Shows commitment to process improvement.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required.
- Accounting strongly preferred.
