Most developers can't answer yes. You get a ticket. You build your piece. It goes somewhere. Someone in another country decided what it should do, someone else decided how it should look, and by the time anyone uses it you're three sprints away on something unrelated.

How long have you been working that way? And what's it cost you — not in money, but in how much you care about the work?

Here's what's different here.

We're Smart Foundation Repair. We repair foundations in Kansas City and Dallas–Fort Worth, and we build our own software. Not a product we sell. Tools our own people use every day: dispatch, reporting, job costing, marketing, back office.

That means you'd sit with the people who do the work, hear what slows them down, and go build the thing that fixes it. You'd decide how it works. You'd ship it. And you'd watch someone use it the same week, then walk it back to them when it's wrong.

Small team. Ground floor. No product committee between you and the person you're building for.

What you'd actually be doing:

- Sitting with our teams (sales, operations, office) and finding out where the real friction is
- Designing and building the fix yourself, front to back: TypeScript, Next.js, Supabase/Postgres, Vercel
- Using Claude Code, Cursor and Copilot as your default way of working, because we care about what ships,



not how many lines you typed
- Going from idea to a tool people use in days, not quarters
- Reading, testing and hardening what the AI writes, because speed without verification isn't speed
- A plus: AI agents and automations (Claude API, n8n, integrations with Slack, QuickBooks and Google Drive)

Who we are. We fix foundations at the source instead of patching them, which is where our promise comes from: Fix It Forever. Our mission is to bring nobility and class back to the trades. Kansas City is our established market, with thousands of homeowners served. Dallas–Fort Worth is our newer one, veteran-founded and family-run.

The software exists for one reason: our crews and office staff should spend their time on the work, not on paperwork and guesswork.

- You've built and shipped real software, and you can show it (repo, live app, demo)
- You're comfortable across frontend, backend and the database
- You've wanted to own a product end to end and haven't been given the chance
- You can overlap with US Central time for most of your day
- You live anywhere in Mexico: CDMX, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Querétaro or elsewhere

Pay: USD $2,500 – $5,500 / month, paid in dollars, fully remote. Where you land depends on what you've shipped, not on your job titles. How to apply: Don't send a cover letter. Send a link to something you built and answer three questions:
