Big Data Engineering Lead | MDM & PySpark

Location: Remote (Mexico)

Salary: MXN $85,000 gross per month

We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineering Lead to guide the development and operation of an enterprise Data Foundation platform. You will lead the team building reliable data pipelines, data products, canonical data models, and data services that support analytics, AI, integrations, and operational reporting.

What you’ll do

- Lead the technical design, delivery, and quality of enterprise data engineering solutions.
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Define data models and support master data management (MDM) initiatives.
- Establish standards for data quality, metadata, lineage, and operational reliability.
- Mentor data engineers, review technical work, and help resolve complex engineering issues.
- Partner with the Service Owner, Architecture Team,



and Platform Engineering Lead to align delivery with enterprise standards.

What we’re looking for

- 8+ years of experience in data or software engineering, including 3+ years of technical leadership.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, distributed data processing, and modern data architectures.
- Experience designing enterprise data pipelines, data products, and data models.
- Knowledge of MDM, data governance, and data quality practices.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, or event-driven data processing.
- Ability to lead engineering delivery while remaining involved in technical decisions and problem-solving.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $84,000.00 - $85,000.00 per month
