We are launching a specialized financial services operation in Monterrey and are looking for an experienced US Mortgage Underwriter / QC Auditor to join our team.

In this role, you will conduct detailed pre-funding and post-closing quality control audits on residential mortgage loan files. You will re-underwrite credit, income, assets, and collateral to verify compliance with investor and agency guidelines (FNMA, Freddie Mac, HUD/FHA, VA, and USDA), as well as federal and state statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive re-underwriting and post-closing audits on residential mortgage files according to investor, agency, state, and federal standards.
- Recalculate and verify income, assets, Debt-to-Income (DTI), and Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios to ensure borrower eligibility.
- Review all loan pertinent documentation: credit reports, purchase contracts, title commitments, appraisals, and initial disclosures.
- Evaluate files for red flags and potential fraud risks.
- Verify lender compliance with federal and state regulations, including TRID, CFPB, RESPA, REG Z, REG B, and REG X.
- Accurately document audit findings, exceptions, and defects within the audit management system.
- Maintain deep, up-to-date knowledge of evolving agency guidelines and compliance directives.

Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of direct experience in US Residential Mortgage Underwriting or Mortgage QC Auditing (Mandatory).
- English Proficiency: Fully bilingual (C1/C2 advanced level) with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Agency Guidelines: Expert working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA underwriting requirements.




- Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of TRID, CFPB, Truth in Lending, ECOA, and disclosures.
- Systems & Tools: Hands-on experience with Automated Underwriting Systems (Desktop Underwriter / Loan Product Advisor).
- Loan Origination Software: Strong working knowledge of Encompass and audit tools like ACES is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience.
- Certifications (Preferred): FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) or VA SAR certifications are an asset.

What We Offer / Compensación y Beneficios
- Sueldo base competitivo: $55,000 – $70,000 MXN brutos mensuales (acorde a experiencia y certificaciones).
- Contratación directa y 100% nominal (alta en IMSS con salario real).

- Horario fijo de oficina: Lunes a Viernes de 8:00 AM a 5:00 PM (descanso sábados y domingos).

Sueldo: $55,000.00 - $70,000.09 al mes
