Brand Manager, Altra Running – Mexico & LATAM (Commercial Lead)
About the Role
You will build Altra Running in Mexico and LATAM — owning the business end to end: commercial results, product and pricing strategy, and brand building within the running community.
Altra has a distinctive technical proposition (Zero Drop, FootShape, Max Cushion) and a consumer who chooses it by conviction. This role is commercial-first: you should be equally comfortable in a margin and forecast review as in a conversation about drop, midsole and why a running club commits to a brand.
What you'll do
- Own the business (priority #1). Build the Annual Business Plan and brand P&L; with Finance. Set revenue, margin, sell-in and sell-out targets. Analyze sales, inventory,
sell-through and forecast continuously, and adjust. Identify growth by channel, account and category across Wholesale, Specialty Running, Sporting Goods, E-commerce and DTC — expanding distribution without compromising premium positioning. Present business reviews to regional and global leadership. Core KPIs: Net Sales · Gross Margin · Full-Price Sell-Through · Forecast Accuracy · Weeks of Supply · Revenue Growth
- Lead the commercial team. Coach and set direction for two KAMs; define account priorities, targets and growth plans.
- Product & line plan. Build the local seasonal line plan — models, categories, colorways and technologies with the strongest potential. Analyze SKU performance to find winners, slow movers and assortment gaps. Partner with global and regional Product/Merchandising to adapt the portfolio. Define each season's hero products.
- Pricing & profitability. Build price architecture by category, product and channel. Set MSRP and channel pricing. Analyze competitive pricing and price impact on volume, margin and brand perception. Manage promotions and markdowns; model pricing and mix scenarios including cost and FX impact. Track gross margin, IMU and contribution margin.
- Go-to-market. Lead the annual GTM calendar across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations. Ensure seasonal readiness and convert post-launch results into learnings.
- Brand, marketing & community. Build and execute the Annual Brand Marketing Plan, adapting global strategy locally. Manage budget and ROI.
Work with agencies, media, PR and social. Develop the ambassador and community strategy with running clubs, coaches and athletes, and activate at races and trail events.
- Market intelligence. Track category evolution and competitors; turn insight into product, pricing, distribution and marketing decisions.
What we're looking for
- 5–8+ years in Brand Management, Commercial Management, Category Management, Product Marketing or Merchandising — running, footwear or sportswear strongly preferred
- Experience leading teams or managing key accounts
- Commercial (essential): P&L;, margin, forecasting, pricing, sell-in/sell-out, inventory, business planning, financial modeling, advanced Excel
- Product (essential): building line plans, defining assortment, SKU analysis, translating consumer insight into product decisions
- Strongly valued: specialty running channel, road and trail, Mexican running community, competitive set and footwear technology; plus brand strategy, PR, social, influencers and events
- Professional English and Spanish
- Analytical, hands-on, strong negotiator, able to influence without direct authority in a matrixed general organization
