At Hussmann Technologies de Baja California, we are looking for a Buyer I to join our Supply Chain / Purchasing Team in Tijuana, B.C.

We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented professional with experience in purchasing and supply chain who is ready to take on new challenges in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

? Key Responsibilities

- Manage purchase orders for assigned materials, components, and suppliers.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and material availability.
- Monitor material requirements based on production schedules and MRP.
- Expedite critical materials to prevent shortages and production disruptions.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, availability, and delivery dates.
- Support negotiations related to pricing and commercial terms.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
- Maintain accurate purchasing information in the ERP system.
- Work closely with Planning, Production, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance.
- Support the resolution of invoice, purchase order, and material discrepancies.
- Participate in cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support inventory optimization and supply continuity.

? What We’re Looking For




- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or similar roles.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and purchasing processes.
- Experience working with suppliers and purchase orders.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Intermediate English proficiency preferred.
