Role Description The Buyer-Planner is a temporary, on-site role based in Tijuana, BCN, responsible for ensuring timely procurement and availability of materials to support production schedules. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing demand and forecasts, placing and tracking purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers to manage lead times, pricing, and delivery performance. The role also involves maintaining accurate inventory levels, monitoring stock replenishment, and resolving material shortages or discrepancies in collaboration with production and warehouse teams.

The Buyer-Planner will work closely with operations, engineering, and finance to support cost optimization,



adherence to quality standards, and continuous improvement in the supply chain. This position requires regular use of ERP or MRP systems and detailed documentation to support reporting and decision-making.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in purchasing, procurement planning, and supplier coordination, including managing lead times, price negotiations, and delivery performance.
- Experience with inventory control, material planning, and production scheduling using ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret demand and forecasts, and make decisions that optimize inventory levels and cost.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with suppliers, production, engineering, and finance teams.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Prior experience in a Buyer, Planner, or Supply Chain role within a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort working with databases or ERP platforms.
- Ability to work on-site in Tijuana, BCN, and comply with all safety and operational procedures.
