Senior Consultant – Cloud Data Integration and Connector Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to build reusable data connectors and ingestion workflows for the EY Cloud Connector Suite. You will connect modern data platforms, replicated databases, data warehouses and document repositories while ensuring that data extraction is reliable, secure and auditable.

What you’ll do

- Design and develop reusable connectors for platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse and BigQuery.
- Build ingestion workflows for data warehouses, replicated ERP databases and structured or unstructured document sources.
- Integrate native platform connectors using standard APIs, events and configuration patterns.
- Implement controls for schema capture, row-count reconciliation, validation, logging, error handling and restartability.
- Develop scalable extraction methods using incremental loads, change data capture, partitioning, batching and parallel processing.
- Preserve configuration, metadata, run history and evidence needed for auditability and data lineage.
- Create automated integration, data quality, performance, resilience and security tests.
- Document connector designs, configuration steps and operational procedures.

What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of relevant data engineering or integration experience.




- Hands-on experience with at least two modern data platforms, such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake or Azure Synapse.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency in a programming language such as Python, C#, Java, Scala or TypeScript.
- Experience building data pipelines, reusable connectors, integration APIs or enterprise ingestion frameworks.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JDBC/ODBC, file-based interfaces, relational databases, data warehouses and lakehouses.
- Experience with incremental extraction, CDC, retries, resumability and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of secure connectivity and identity practices, including private endpoints, firewalls, managed identities and service principals.
- Experience with source control, CI/CD and automated testing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across data, authentication, connectivity and platform performance.

Nice to have
- Microsoft Graph or SharePoint API experience.
- Database mirroring, replication or log-based extraction experience.
- Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Parquet, JSON, CSV or XML experience.
- Experience with ERP financial data, source-to-target reconciliation or audit evidence.
- Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineer, Databricks or Snowflake certification.
