Injection Coordinator

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Injection Coordinator to lead our plastic injection molding operations and contribute to the achievement of our manufacturing objectives.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a large production area, coordinating multidisciplinary teams across Production, Mold Shop, and Process Engineering, and ensuring strong performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Continuous Improvement.

Success in this position requires a combination of hands-on plastic injection expertise, strong people leadership, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to operate effectively within a general automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the plastic injection molding operation, ensuring achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity targets.
- Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of 25+ employees across Production, Mold Shop, and Process Engineering.
- Monitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs, including Safety, Scrap, Productivity, OEE, Cycle Time, and Equipment Performance.
- Balance injection molding machines and production capacity according to customer demand and production requirements.
- Lead capacity studies and support the transfer and industrialization of new projects.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce cycle times, scrap, downtime, and manufacturing costs.
- Coordinate activities related to mold performance, process stability, equipment availability, and production efficiency.
- Lead structured problem-solving and fast-response activities using methodologies such as A3, 8D, 5 Whys, and root-cause analysis.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor the area's operating budget.
- Determine, justify,



and follow up on CAPEX requirements and investments.
- Ensure accurate use of SAP for the management and monitoring of manufacturing activities.
- Collaborate with local and global teams to support operational objectives, project implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture focused on Safety, Quality, Accountability, People Development, and Continuous Improvement.

Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
- More than 5 years of experience as a Coordinator, Area Manager, Production Manager, or equivalent leadership position within plastic injection molding operations.
- Proven experience managing a span of control of more than 25 employees.
- Experience leading operations that include Production, Mold Shop, and Process Engineering.
- Experience managing manufacturing areas with more than 25 injection molding machines.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, particularly Safety, Scrap, Productivity, OEE, Quality, and Delivery.
- Experience conducting capacity studies, machine balancing, cycle-time optimization, and project transfers.
- Experience in budget preparation and cost control.
- Experience determining and managing CAPEX projects and investments.
- Knowledge and practical experience with SAP.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, including A3, 8D, 5 Whys, and root-cause analysis.
- Business-level English, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with corporate and international teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and team-development skills.
