Attom Lab builds and operates technology ventures that put production-grade AI into complex, regulated workflows — construction, telecommunications, and other industries where the work is physical and the compliance burden is real. Delivery runs through joint ventures with a partner in each industry, and clients retain ownership of their code, models and intellectual property.
Software shipping is not the same as software being used. This role owns the second half: the behavioral and user-facing work that turns a delivered system into a system people actually run their day on. Because each venture serves a different industry with a different client base, credibility has to be re-earned engagement by engagement rather than assumed from a playbook.
Position Summary The Customer Success & Enablement Specialist is the first hire into this function and will both deliver against live pilot clients and define the standard methodology the function will use from here. The work splits roughly evenly between the two for the first two engagements.
Scope is deliberately bounded. Product direction, software development, technical implementation and system requirements stay with their dedicated teams. Where adoption stalls because of a genuine product defect, this role identifies the friction, synthesizes the insight and routes it to Product, who own the fix. This is an independent contributor role with a single reporting line for coordination and escalation.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose user readiness and organizational resistance before implementation, then design and deliver role-specific training that applies immediately to real workflows
- Lead HyperCare — the high-touch, time-boxed support period immediately after go-live — so clients extract full value from the tools rather than reverting to old habits
- Equip client-side champions and hand enablement methodology to the client’s own training or HR function, so adoption survives staff turnover
- Act as the first point of contact for client users: resolve what can be resolved directly,
route the rest to the named internal owner with a clear expectation of response
- Monitor leading indicators — usage depth, time-to-value, adoption decay — and intervene before a decline becomes a renewal conversation, particularly around client staff changes
- Translate adoption data into arguments that land with both client executives and internal account leadership
- Close every engagement by producing reusable curriculum, training guides and implementation playbooks that shorten the next venture’s ramp
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years overall, with at least 2 in Customer Success, Enablement, Account Management, technical consulting, corporate training, teaching or an adjacent client-facing operating role. Backgrounds are read broadly: certifications, LMS administration and a prior Customer Success title are not required.
- Has run enough end-to-end engagements to generalize from them — enough to write a playbook worth reusing, not only to follow one
- Has held a client relationship directly, without a manager fronting the difficult conversations
- Drives workflow change and user adoption without formal authority to mandate compliance
- Builds executive-ready arguments backed by data, not assertion
- Wins over resistant or unsolicited audiences and establishes credibility quickly
- Delivers difficult messages and says no to a client while keeping the relationship intact
- Facilitates calibrated training — reads the room’s existing expertise and adapts, rather than running a rote system tour
- Moves between technical and business conversations without losing either audience
- Works independently and drives outcomes in small, high-attention client environments
- Working literacy in software delivery: SDLC and Agile basics. An engineering background is not required
- Data fluency sufficient to trace where a metric comes from, interpret the source and work with analytical teams
- Appetite for building a function from nothing rather than executing someone else’s playbook
- Facilitation-grade English (C1+), able to lead and command a room
- US Visa Required B1/B2
Nice to Have
- Frontline operational experience in an adjacent physical or regulated industry — construction, telecommunications, utilities, logistics — which shortens the credibility curve with training audiences
- Professional-level Spanish, for close work with LatAm-based colleagues
- Technical depth beyond foundational software literacy
- Prior experience as the first hire into a function, or standing up enablement inside a services or joint-venture model
What Attom Lab Provides
- Instrumentation. Product and Engineering commit to maintain reporting on system usage, session depth and defects, so performance is judged on visible data rather than impressions.
- An escalation path. Named internal owners for routed requests, with defined response expectations.
- Resourced ramp. Dedicated time to reach super-user status before any client-facing work. Engagements can co-delivered with other function contributors, with structured weekly checkpoints.
- Contextual performance review. Retention and client value are the headline measures, read against product quality, sales fit and market conditions.
- Compensation. Set at offer, calibrated to location and experience.
