Job Overview

We are hiring a Data Center Technician / Infrastructure Support Technician to provide hands-on support for enterprise data center operations. This role requires experience with servers, network switches, cabling, rack-and-stack, and smart hands support, while working closely with remote engineers and the Network Operations Center (NOC). The position is part of a four-technician team providing 24x7x365 infrastructure support.

Responsibilities

- Provide hands-on support for servers, network switches, and data center infrastructure.

- Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, networking, and connectivity issues.

- Install, replace, reboot, and verify servers and network equipment.

- Perform rack-and-stack, patching, cable tracing, and structured cabling.

- Serve as onsite Smart Hands for remote engineering teams and NOC.

- Validate equipment status, connectivity, and physical configurations.

- Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and completed work.

- Follow incident, change management, and escalation procedures.

- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call support.

Required Skills

- 2+ years of experience in Data Center,



Infrastructure, Network Support, or Field Services.

- Knowledge of servers, switches, Ethernet, IP networking, ports, and cabling.

- Experience with rack-mounted equipment, patch panels, copper/fiber cabling, and hardware replacement.

- Ability to log into servers and network devices for basic diagnostics.

- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently onsite and support remote technical teams.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in enterprise data centers or colocation facilities.

- Cisco networking hardware experience.

- Experience with NOC operations and ITSM/incident management tools.

- Hands-on experience with rack-and-stack and structured cabling.

Schedule

- 12+ month contract with extension potential.

- Hybrid/remote during applicable business hours with required onsite support.

- Must participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation.

- Must be able to reach the data center within 1–2 hours for after-hours incidents.
