Position: Data Integration Engineer

Location : Hybrid - Toluca Mexico ( 3 days per week need to go office)

Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain reliable data and application integration solutions

Build REST APIs and integration services following secure scalable and reusable design principles

Implement event driven integrations using Amazon SNS Amazon SQS and Amazon Event Bridge

Develop cloud based processing workflows using AWS Lambda and AWS Step Functions

Deploy and support containerized integration workloads using Amazon ECS

Design secure and cost-effective file and object storage solutions using Amazon S3

Integrate modern cloud services with legacy systems enterprise applications databases and external platforms

Analyze data requirements and create logical and physical data models

Evaluate and select appropriate storage strategies based on access patterns scalability security performance and retention requirements

Implement validation transformation enrichment routing error handling retry and reconciliation mechanisms

Ensure data quality integrity lineage encryption and secure access across integrations

Develop automated tests and support CICD based deployment of data and integration components

Implement logging monitoring tracing alerting and operational dashboards for integration flows

Troubleshoot API failures event processing issues data discrepancies and legacy system constraints





Produce API specifications data mappings integration diagrams support runbooks and technical documentation To be successful in this role you should have

5 to 7 years of experience in data engineering integration engineering backend development or cloud integration

Handson experience with AWS services including ECS Lambda Step Functions and S3

Strong understanding of REST API design API versioning authentication validation and error handling

Experience implementing event driven patterns using SNS SQS or Event Bridge

Demonstrated experience integrating legacy platforms with modern cloud based services

Strong understanding of data modelling and storage strategy selection

Knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns

Understanding of data security encryption data quality and access control

Experience writing automated tests and deploying services through CICD pipelines

Strong troubleshooting documentation and cross team collaboration skills

Nice to have skills

Experience with Python Fast API or another modern backend framework

Knowledge of relational NoSQL object storage and analytical data platforms

Experience with schema management event contracts idempotency dead letter queues and replay mechanisms

Familiarity with Terraform Docker Kubernetes and AWS monitoring services

Relevant AWS developer data or solutions architecture certification
