DevOps / Infrastructure as Code Engineer

Location: Toluca, Mexico

Work Model: 100% Onsite – 5 Days a Week

- Location is mandatory: Candidates must be based in or willing to work from Toluca, Mexico .
- This is a 100% onsite position .
- Candidates must be available to work 5 days per week from the HSBC office in Toluca .
- Remote or hybrid-only candidates will not be considered.
- Candidates with strong Spanish and English communication skills will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and reusable components.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, AI engineers, integration specialists, data engineers, UX/UI teams, and security specialists.
- Standardize build, testing, security scanning, release, and deployment processes.
- Develop reusable pipeline templates, infrastructure modules, deployment scripts, and environment configurations.
- Manage configuration across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Implement automated quality gates, security checks, approval controls, and deployment validations.
- Support containerized workload deployments and cloud-native runtime environments.
- Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, infrastructure defects, network problems, and environment inconsistencies.
- Embed security controls into CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code workflows.
- Support access controls, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, patching, and compliance requirements.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational-readiness practices.
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, configuration standards, and recovery procedures.




- Promote automation, self-service capabilities, reliability, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.

Required Qualification

- 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines .
- Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) .
- Ability to develop reusable and maintainable infrastructure modules and pipeline components.
- Strong understanding of Git workflows, automated testing, release processes, deployment strategies, and rollback mechanisms .
- Knowledge of containerization, cloud-native architecture, environment management, and configuration management.
- Understanding of DevSecOps , security scanning, least-privilege principles, secrets management, and policy compliance.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ability to document infrastructure processes, standards, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Willingness and ability to work 100% onsite, 5 days a week, in Toluca, Mexico .

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Hands-on experience with Terraform .
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes , or managed container platforms.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps , or similar CI/CD tools.
- Experience with observability tools, automated compliance checks, and Policy as Code .
- Relevant AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications .
- Professional working proficiency in Spanish and English .
