Front Desk & Guest Host La Morada Condesa – Mexico City

We are currently looking for two people to join our team, one for the morning shift and one for the afternoon shift.

Morning Shift: Sunday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Afternoon Shift: Sunday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Day off: Saturday

These are fixed shifts. You would be hired for either the morning or the afternoon position, not both.

La Morada Condesa is a small, five-room bed & breakfast in Condesa.

Because we only have five rooms, what we do is very personal. We know our guests, talk to them, help them enjoy Mexico City, and try to make their stay feel easy and special.

We are looking for people who can be both front desk and host.

This is not a job where you sit behind a desk all day waiting for something to happen. Sometimes you are helping a guest, sometimes answering a reservation request, sometimes checking a room, sometimes serving coffee or a glass of wine.

Everyone helps.

At the same time, we take the guest experience seriously. La Morada should feel relaxed and personal, but also organized, professional, clean, and well taken care of.

The Morning Shift The morning starts at 7:00 AM.

Breakfast is served until 10:00 AM. We have someone in charge of the kitchen, but you will help set up, serve, clear tables, and make sure guests have what they need.

A big part of the job is being present with our guests.

Talk with them. Ask how they slept. Ask what they are doing that day. Help with recommendations. Remember their names. If they need a taxi, restaurant, coffee, directions, or help figuring out their plans, we want you to be there.

After breakfast, the focus shifts toward check-outs, housekeeping coordination, reservations, messages, payments, and getting the house ready for arriving guests.

Check-out is at 11:00 AM, and we want guests to leave feeling that they were genuinely taken care of until the very end of their stay.

The Afternoon Shift The afternoon starts at 3:00 PM and is focused more on arrivals,



check-ins, and the evening guest experience.

We like our check-ins to feel personal. Help guests with luggage, show them around, explain how things work, get to know them a little, and help them settle into Mexico City.

If we know when someone is arriving, we want to be ready for them before they walk through the door.

In the early evening, we also have a small social hour for our guests.

Nothing complicated or overly formal — a complimentary glass of wine, something small to snack on, and a chance for guests to relax and meet each other.

The idea is not to create a party. It should feel social, tasteful, easy, and welcoming.

After that, the evening is about helping guests with dinner plans, transportation, recommendations, questions, reservations, and making sure the house is ready for the night.

What both positions have in common

Both morning and afternoon team members will help with things like:

- Welcoming and taking care of guests.
- Making guests feel comfortable and genuinely welcome.
- Answering WhatsApp, emails, phone calls, and reservation questions.
- Making and updating reservations.
- Using Cloudbeds for reservations, guest information, and payments.
- Handling cash and card payments responsibly.
- Coordinating with housekeeping and the rest of the team.
- Checking rooms and common areas when necessary.
- Helping guests with luggage.
- Helping with restaurants, transportation, activities, and recommendations around Mexico City.
- Keeping track of supplies and letting us know what needs to be purchased.




- Reporting maintenance problems and helping with simple issues when possible.
- Keeping the house organized and presentable.
- Communicating important information to the next shift.
- Anticipating what guests may need instead of always waiting to be asked.

Who would be a good fit We are looking for someone who is:

- Professional, but not stiff.

- Good at reading people, some guests want to talk, others just want some space.
- Happy to help with different things when needed.

English is a must. A large part of our guests are international, so you need to be comfortable having real conversations in English, answering messages, explaining things, giving recommendations, and helping solve problems.

Previous experience in hotels, restaurants, hospitality, or guest service is appreciated, but it is not the only thing we care about.

Personality, attitude, reliability, and good judgment are just as important.

You do not need previous Cloudbeds experience. We will teach you.

A few important things La Morada is an older house with several floors and stairs, so you should be comfortable going up and down throughout the day and helping guests with luggage when needed.

Working in a five-room property is different from working in a large hotel.

There is always something to do, but there is also time to actually know the people staying with us.

That is a big part of what makes La Morada different.

We want our guests to feel like they are staying in a beautiful home in Mexico City where someone is genuinely happy to have them there.
