Sulzer is seeking a strategic and commercially minded Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support leaders and employees across our Mexico operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping align people strategies with business objectives to drive organizational performance, talent development, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate combines strong HR expertise with a solid understanding of business operations, financial drivers, organizational performance, and workforce planning. This individual must be capable of translating business goals into practical HR solutions that support growth, productivity, and a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

- Partner with business leaders to understand business strategies, market conditions, operational challenges, and growth objectives.
- Provide proactive HR guidance that supports achievement of business goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategies, and change management initiatives.
- Develop a deep understanding of business performance metrics, financial drivers, and operational priorities to effectively influence decision-making.

Talent Management & Organizational Development
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, and talent review processes.
- Partner with managers to identify critical talent gaps and develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, and leadership effectiveness.
- Drive organizational effectiveness initiatives that improve team performance and business outcomes.

Employee Relations & Engagement
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, investigations, performance concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive employee experience and foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.




- Monitor employee engagement trends and implement action plans to improve retention and organizational health.

Performance & Change Management
- Support leaders through organizational changes, restructuring, and transformation initiatives.
- Drive performance management processes, goal setting, and development planning.
- Partner with leaders to improve team effectiveness and employee productivity.

HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies.
- Partner with regional and general HR teams to implement HR programs and initiatives.
- Support compensation reviews, annual merit processes, and workforce analytics.
- Utilize HR metrics and data to identify trends and recommend business-focused solutions.

Culture & Continuous Improvement
- Champion Sulzer's values, leadership principles, and culture initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee well-being initiatives.

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner experience supporting managers and employees in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of Mexican labor laws and employment practices.
- Experience supporting organizational change, talent management, employee relations, and performance management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.

Preferred
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, service, or industrial businesses.
- Experience working within a global matrix organization.
- Advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
- Familiarity with workforce analytics and HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors or Workday.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per month
