Role Description The Ingeniero Jr IA will support the design, development, and implementation of artificial intelligence solutions to address business and technical challenges. This full-time, on-site role is based in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area and involves working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and optimize AI models and pipelines.

Day-to-day responsibilities include data collection and preprocessing, model training and evaluation, documentation of experiments and results, and integration of AI components into existing systems under supervision. The role also involves monitoring model performance, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of AI workflows and tools.

The Ingeniero

Jr IA will participate in team meetings, share findings, and help ensure that AI solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with project requirements.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts, including supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and basic statistics.




- Proficiency in at least one programming language used in AI (such as Python) and familiarity with common libraries or frameworks (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
- Ability to work with data: collecting, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing datasets to prepare them for model training and validation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to break down technical challenges into manageable tasks, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication skills to document work clearly, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and present technical findings in an accessible way.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to learn new tools and methodologies in AI, and openness to guidance and feedback from more senior team members.
- Experience with software development best practices (version control, testing, code review) and familiarity with Linux or cloud environments is a plus.
