Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of Sales Leadership, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for coordinating assigned customer accounts and commercial opportunities from RFQ receipt through quotation, negotiation, award, and operational handoff. The position serves as a key commercial interface between customers and Volex's global manufacturing organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Lead the commercial RFQ process for assigned accounts and opportunities.
- Review customer requirements and coordinate technical, sourcing, operational, and financial inputs required to develop competitive quotations.
- Ensure quotations are complete, accurate, approved, and submitted within required timelines.
- Manage all customer communications related to quotations, pricing, samples, forecasts, commercial changes, and program status.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of opportunities, forecasts, quote history, approval documentation, pricing, and customer interactions within Epicor CRM.
- Analyze account activity, quote backlog, win/loss performance, and sales pipeline metrics.
- Identify pricing risks, margin improvement opportunities, and commercial actions necessary to support profitable growth.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, sourcing, finance, quality, and customer service teams to support customer requirements.
- Escalate commercial risks, customer concerns, or operational issues that could affect revenue, delivery, or customer satisfaction.
- Support Regional Sales Managers in strategic account development, business reviews, and customer visits.
- Lead commercial handoff activities for awarded business, ensuring alignment between customer commitments and operational execution.
- Assist in annual planning, forecasting, pipeline reviews, and sales reporting activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance responsiveness, customer satisfaction, and sales effectiveness.

Education/Experience/Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in inside sales, account management, commercial quoting, or customer relationship management within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing complex RFQs and customer opportunities.
Language Ability:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- English and Spanish preferred.
Reasoning Ability:
- Strong commercial judgment and analytical capability.
- Ability to evaluate priorities, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Computer Skills:
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and CRM systems.
- Experience with Epicor ERP/CRM preferred.
- Strong reporting and data analysis skills.
