Role Description The Internet Protocol Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in El Marqués, QUE, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IP network infrastructure for Huawei Latinoamérica. Day-to-day tasks include configuring and managing routers and related network equipment, monitoring network performance, and ensuring reliable, secure connectivity across regional operations. The role involves diagnosing and resolving network incidents,



optimizing network design to support business and customer requirements, and implementing best practices for network security and resilience.

The engineer collaborates with cross-functional technical teams, prepares technical documentation, and provides support for network upgrades, deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Design and Network Administration.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with Routers and IP-based routing protocols.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Network Security and secure network configuration.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex network issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, VLANs, QoS, and related networking standards and architectures.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Huawei HCIA/HCIP, CCNA/CCNP or equivalent) are beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in El Marqués, QUE, and collaborate in multicultural, cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills in a professional technical environment.
