Junior Accounts Payable Specialist

Hybrid – Guadalajara, Mexico

At MezTal, we are looking for a Junior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team in Guadalajara.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career in accounting and finance. You do not need to have an Accounting or Finance degree, but you should be comfortable working with numbers, following processes, paying close attention to details, and communicating professionally in English.

You will work closely with U.S.-based teams, so professional English is an important requirement for this position.

What You Will Do

- Support the day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) process.
- Review and process vendor invoices.
- Verify invoice information, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Help maintain accurate vendor records.
- Support payment preparation and payment tracking.
- Assist with invoice and payment reconciliations.
- Follow up on missing information or discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding invoices and payments.
- Maintain organized and accurate AP documentation.
- Support month-end activities related to Accounts Payable.
- Assist the accounting team with additional administrative and financial tasks as needed.

What We Are Looking For
- Professional English – comfortable communicating verbally and in writing with U.S.-based teams.
- Interest in developing a career in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Finance.
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, finance, billing, administrative support, or a similar area is a plus, but we are open to junior profiles.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred,



but it does not need to be in Accounting or Finance.
- Good attention to detail and organization.
- Comfortable working with numbers and repetitive processes while maintaining accuracy.
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills.
- Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and ask questions when needed.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and collaborating with teams in the U.S.

- Monthly Salary: MXN 20,000 - 25,000 (before taxes)
