Sentinium Design is a boutique interior design studio specializing in high-end hospitality interiors, with select residential projects. We combine creativity with precision, delivering exceptional design experiences for our clients. We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Designer to support our Principal Designer with FF&E; documentation, procurement, and CAD drafting.
Responsibilities:
- Write FF&E; specifications based on selections provided by the Principal Designer
- Check FF&E; drawings and schedules for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate procurement — place orders, track lead times, and follow up with vendors
- Communicate directly with vendors on pricing, availability, and order status
- Prepare budget reports and track FF&E; spend against project budgets
- Support CAD drafting as needed — updating plans and elevations to reflect FF&E; and layout changes
- Incorporate markups and redlines accurately
- Assist with client presentation materials as required
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
- Produce colored rendered floor plans for client presentations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
- Previous experience producing specifications and documentation for U.S.-based hospitality and residential architectural or interior design projects is required.
- Experience with FF&E; spec-writing software
- Experience producing colored rendered plans (hand-rendered or digital)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD — able to update plans and elevations as needed
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam (markups/redlines)
- Strong understanding of how a project runs from start to finish — able to anticipate what's needed next, not just execute individual tasks
- Proactive, with a strong sense of initiative and follow-through
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable communicating directly with vendors
- Good written English
- Reliable internet and availability to overlap with Pacific Time business hours
