Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and sharp Full-Time EOIR Immigration Paralegal with strong legal writing skills to join our dedicated immigration practice.
The idóneo candidate will specialize in Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), with a strong background in drafting persuasive legal arguments, complex motions, and detailed client declarations. Because we serve a diverse, vibrant client base, fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Writing & Motion Drafting: Draft persuasive legal briefs, pre-hearing statements, motions to terminate, motions to reopen, bond motions, and legal memorandums for EOIR court proceedings.
- Removal Defense Packets: Compile, organize, and assemble comprehensive relief applications and supporting evidence packets for Asylum, Withholding of Removal, CAT, Cancellation of Removal, and Adjustment of Status before the Immigration Court.
- Client Declarations: Conduct in-depth, compassionate client interviews to draft detailed, compelling written affidavits and personal declarations in Spanish and English.
- Case Management & Filings: Manage court deadlines, calendar hearings, track master and individual hearing schedules, and prepare timely filings for EOIR court electronic registry (eRegistry) and paper submission.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively, empathetically,
and professionally with clients, colleagues, and experts to gather supporting documentation.
- Legal Research: Assist attorneys with legal research on country conditions, statutory relief requirements, and relevant BIA/circuit court case law.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of dedicated experience as an EOIR/Removal Defense Paralegal, with a heavy emphasis on legal drafting and court filings.
- Strong Writing Skills: Exceptional legal writing, editing, and research skills; ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively. (Writing sample required upon request).
- Language: Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken) with high fluency in translating client testimony into precise written English declarations.
- Soft Skills: Highly compassionate, resilient, highly analytical, and able to meet strict court deadlines under pressure.
- Must have a personal computer, headset and reliable internet access.
What We Offer
- 100% fully remote work environment open to LATAM candidates
- Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
- Full-Time (40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST)
- $8.00 – $12.00 USD / hour (Based on experience)
