Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Logistics Tracking Analyst.

No previous logistics or transportation experience is required. We are willing to train the right person. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with computers, learns quickly, communicates well, and can handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in beginning a career in the logistics and transportation industry. The position will provide hands-on experience with transportation operations, shipment tracking, carrier and driver communication, documentation, and customer service.

English does not need to be perfect. However, candidates must have enough English proficiency to communicate effectively with team members by phone, email, and messaging. Continued improvement in English will be important for advancement into positions that require direct communication with customers.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic to intermediate English communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating in English by phone, email, and messaging.
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong typing and data-entry skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities at once.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible.

Responsibilities

- Monitor and track shipments to ensure pickups and deliveries remain on schedule.
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, coworkers, and other departments regarding shipment status.
- Enter and update shipment information accurately in multiple systems.
- Identify delays, missing information, or other potential problems and communicate them quickly.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate notes and records regarding shipments and communications.
- Follow established company procedures and escalation processes.
- Manage multiple shipments, communications, and responsibilities at the same time.
- Prioritize time-sensitive situations and understand when an issue requires immediate attention.
- Work closely with other members of the operations team to solve problems and keep freight moving.
- Learn transportation terminology, company procedures, customer requirements, and logistics systems.
