PURCHASING MANAGER (ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY)

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Required Experience:

- 5–10 years of experience in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain.
- 3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience within the electronics or manufacturing industry.

Technical Knowledge & Experience:

- Experience sourcing electronic components such as PCBs, semiconductors, connectors, and related materials.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes within the electronics industry.
- Supplier management and development.
- Management and monitoring of Purchasing KPIs.
- Knowledge and understanding of MRP signals.
- Clear-to-Build (CTB) analysis to anticipate and prevent material shortages.
- Knowledge of the global market and electronic component availability.
- Inventory management and excess inventory analysis/control.
- Knowledge of NPI processes and sourcing of new components.

Software: Microsoft Office, SAP, and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of Buyers and/or Procurement Specialists, ensuring operational efficiency and achievement of KPIs.
- Ensure continuous material availability to support high-volume electronics manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and manage key purchasing metrics, including Past Dues, unconfirmed Purchase Orders, AP Holds/Issues, RMAs, requisition aging, Purchase Price Variance (PPV), On-Time In-Full (OTIF),



inventory turnover and levels, excess inventory, and supplier performance.
- Escalate and resolve critical material shortages that could impact production.
- Perform and interpret Clear-to-Build (CTB) analyses to anticipate and prevent shortages.
- Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve Supply Chain issues and mitigate risks.
- Manage supplier relationships and long-term agreements with strategic partners.
- Monitor general supply market trends and electronic component availability.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Procurement policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Monthly salary: MXN $78,000
