The Day-to-Day

Design, build, and maintain Salesforce solutions — Apex classes, triggers, batch and queueable jobs, and REST/SOAP callouts — that serve as the operational backbone of customer-facing and internal workflows.

Build and maintain Lightning Web Components that deliver clean, modern user experiences across Sales, Service, and custom clouds.

Own configuration-as-code practices: manage custom metadata types, named credentials, and permission sets through version control rather than manual org changes.

Develop and deploy metadata using SFDX/sf CLI source-format workflows, scratch orgs, and sandboxes, pushing changes through version control instead of change sets.

Write quality, maintainable, unit-tested (Apex test coverage ≥ 85%), and well-documented code in a fast-paced professional development environment.

Employ Agile methodologies to continuously deliver value to end users.

Actively contribute to team and company development and deployment standards.

Perform and participate in code and configuration reviews.

Use AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude)



to accelerate development and code review.

Evaluate and prototype AI-powered features for customer-facing security and monitoring workflows where applicable.

Requirements

Preferred Skills and Experience

- 4+ years of experience in Salesforce platform development, including:
- Apex — triggers, batch/queueable jobs, REST callouts, and asynchronous patterns
- Lightning Web Components (LWC) — building and composing modern UI components
- SFDX/sf CLI — source-format development, scratch org and sandbox workflows, metadata deployment through version control
- Configuration-as-code — custom metadata types, named credentials, permission sets, and profiles managed in source control
- Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, governor limits, and platform security model (sharing rules, profiles, permission sets)
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems via REST and SOAP APIs (both inbound and outbound)
- Fast learner with excellent problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science or equivalent degree preferred
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and integrating LLM/AI APIs into backend services

Nice to Have
- Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification is a strong plus
- Salesforce CPQ exposure — product bundles, pricing rules, and quote configuration is highly valued
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce (e.g., GitHub Actions, Copado, Gearset)
- Familiarity with Salesforce Experience Cloud or Service Cloud
- Exposure to Salesforce Flow and declarative automation as a complement to Apex
- Python experience for scripting, automation, or backend integrations alongside Salesforce
- Experience working with collocated and remote teams
- Experience with AI/ML integrations surfaced through Salesforce (e.g., Einstein, external LLM callouts)
- Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock APIs called from Apex or external services
- Experience using AI tools in a CI/CD or code review workflow
