We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to strengthen our backend engineering group with robust Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and MySQL expertise. You will ramp up quickly, shape technical direction, and collaborate across a distributed team to deliver reliable services—apply now.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain Java-based backend services
- Create and enhance REST APIs that power mobile app features and integrate with external systems
- Own MySQL tasks including data modeling, SQL query development, performance tuning, and issue diagnosis
- Help define and evolve scalable, maintainable backend and microservices architecture
- Deliver secure, stable, and thoroughly tested code aligned with engineering standards
- Identify and resolve defects, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, estimation, and solution design
- Collaborate with mobile engineers, product stakeholders, QA, and backend teammates to ship end-to-end features
- Improve automated test coverage, observability tooling, logging setup, and overall service reliability
- Apply AI-powered development tools when appropriate to increase productivity, raise code quality, and streamline testing and troubleshooting

Requirements

- Hands-on experience of 3 years using Java with object-oriented programming principles
- Strong knowledge of REST API design and established API development best practices
- Practical experience building or supporting microservices and distributed systems across multiple nodes
- Working familiarity with MySQL, writing SQL queries, relational data modeling, and query performance tuning
- Solid understanding of core design principles, common design patterns,



and clean code practices
- Proven experience creating unit and integration tests, plus awareness of modern testing frameworks
- Good knowledge of application security fundamentals, including authentication, authorization, and secure API development
- Comfort with Git-based workflows, CI/CD automation, and modern software delivery practices
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, and other observability signals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on fully finishing assigned work
- Good communication and collaboration skills for a remote, cross-functional team environment
- Strong English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher

Nice to have

- Experience deploying, scaling, and operating backend applications in cloud environments
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing, and troubleshooting
