About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions for the automotive industry. In this role, you will design and maintain automated tests for web applications, user interfaces, APIs, and database integrations.

You will work closely with development and product teams at our Guadalajara facility, contributing to testing strategies, identifying defects early, and improving the automation processes that support software delivery.

What you’ll do

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.
- Create and execute end-to-end (E2E) and UI automated tests for complex applications.
- Use Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices to turn business requirements and acceptance criteria into executable test scenarios.
- Build automated tests for REST APIs, validating responses, data integrity, and integration behavior.
- Test application workflows and integrations involving DynamoDB.
- Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins CI pipelines to provide timely feedback to development teams.
- Use GitHub to manage automation code and collaborate through development workflows.
- Manage test cases, track execution, and report defects using Jira and Zephyr.
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Contribute to quality activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Mentor other QA engineers and help improve test coverage, automation standards, and testing processes.





What we’re looking for

- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in QA engineering, with a strong focus on test automation.
- Advanced experience building and maintaining automated tests with Selenium.
- Strong Java programming skills, including experience with Java 8, 17, or 21 and object-oriented design.
- Practical experience implementing BDD frameworks and writing test scenarios based on business requirements.
- Experience automating tests for REST APIs and validating integrations.
- Working knowledge of DynamoDB, including data validation and integration testing.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, and Zephyr.
- Strong understanding of E2E and UI testing strategies, as well as SDLC and STLC practices.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
