Role Description The System Engineer is a full-time hybrid role based in Mexico City, Mexico, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining critical IT and operational systems that support transportation and logistics activities. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, administering servers and networked systems, and ensuring system reliability and security.

The System

Engineer will collaborate with operations, technical support, and management teams to plan system upgrades, document configurations, and optimize workflows.



The role also involves contributing to infrastructure improvement projects, implementing best practices, and providing guidance on system-related risks and compliance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills for planning, implementing, and optimizing infrastructure solutions.
- Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose issues, resolve incidents, and assist users.
- Candidates should possess solid System Administration skills for managing servers, applications, user access, and configurations.
- Candidates should possess relevant IT knowledge in networking, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), and cloud or virtualization technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in transportation, logistics, or other operations-focused environments is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in hybrid and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous for coordinating with international stakeholders.
