Detailed Job Description
As a Field Engineer / L1 Network Engineer at Hexowa Technologies Ltd in Tijuana, Mexico, you will take full ownership of executing on-site technical support and network infrastructure maintenance tasks. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass rack-and-stack operations, physical cabling, console connections, and configuration troubleshooting for Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls. You will diagnose connectivity failures, test link integrity, replace faulty hardware modules, and coordinate real-time escalations with remote engineering teams. Working in a fast-paced field environment, you will maintain accurate service logs, adhere strictly to client security and safety protocols, and ensure rapid incident turnaround times in alignment with enterprise service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Execute on-site technical support, hardware deployment, and troubleshooting across enterprise IT environments.

Configure, maintain,



and troubleshoot Cisco networking equipment, including routers, switches, and access points.

Perform physical layer diagnostics, cable management, port verification, and interface status testing.

Collaborate with remote Network Operations Centers (NOC) and escalation engineers to resolve incident tickets promptly.

Coordinate hardware replacements, RMA processing, and on-site spare parts management with vendors.

Ensure strict adherence to enterprise IT security baselines, change management procedures, and safety standards.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of on-site interventions, device configurations, and asset inventories.

Provide responsive, customer-facing technical support to end-users and local client representatives.

Complete assigned deployment and support tasks during the scheduled service window on 01 and 02 October 2026.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.

1+ years of professional experience in field engineering, IT support, or network operations.

Strong, practical hands-on experience working with Cisco networking hardware and operating systems (IOS/IOS-XE).

Proven troubleshooting capability in diagnosing Cisco routing, switching,



and local area network connectivity issues.

Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, Ethernet cabling, and serial console connections.

Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing interpersonal skills.

Professional availability for on-site deployment in Tijuana, Mexico, specifically on 01 and 02 October 2026.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+.

Prior working experience in field deployment projects for multinational IT service providers or telecommunications carriers.
