Are you interested in building products used by millions of people? Do you like shipping code at a rapid pace? Rocket Lawyer is seeking an experienced Front End Engineer that is passionate about building mobile and desktop web applications. This position is full-time and is based in our Saltillo office.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Product Designers to implement the next generation of Rocket Lawyer products.
- Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.
- Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering.

Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript.
- Expert knowledge of latest web technologies (HTML5/CSS3).
- Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components.
- Aware of but not reliant on Object Oriented JavaScript Frameworks (JQuery, Prototype JS, MooTools, Dojo,



etc.).
- Experience with integrating back-end web services via REST-based APIs.
- Experience developing rich applications with HTML/CSS/JS/AJAX.
- Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking.
- 3+ years of experience building web applications.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Highly Desired:
- Knowledge of web architecture and the HTTP protocol.
- Experience with Angular.js, Backbone.js, and Handlebars.js.
- Experience with MVC development.
- Knowledge of caching strategies.
- Experience developing responsive websites for web, tablets, and smartphones.
