• Manage direct reports, organizing the coordination of daily tasks for quality technicians and engineers.
• Lead and support the professional activities of the FQC/IPQC team.
Coordinate activities related to Quality Response to Quality Complaints with different areas of the organization.
• Manage employee attendance and absences on Workday.
• Evaluate and develop the skills and competencies of technicians and engineers.
• Maintain the calibration and upkeep of the area's measuring equipment.
• Ensure that the necessary equipment, processes, and personnel are in place to verify that finished machines and service accessories/kits have been manufactured according to defined standards.
• Handling customer complaints (TFRs/CAVs) and other feedback on product quality.
• Providing feedback on customer complaints to operations staff.
• Reducing customer complaints (TFRs/CAVs – Technical Failure Reports), production waste, warranty claims, and production quality costs.
• Coordinating the analysis and repair of machines returned by customers with the various teams involved.
• Actively participating in continuous improvement activities (e.g., Kaizen).
• Supporting the development of production procedures/work instructions from a quality perspective.
• Verifying and implementing Change Support (CSN).
• Managing incomplete or non-conforming machines, parts, and components.
• Ensuring that processes are used to identify quality-related assembly problems and drive corrective and preventive actions (CA-PA). • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve emerging quality issues as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid compromising quality and safety standards.
• Identify the root cause and drive corrective actions (CARs) across all internal and external team members.
• Verify the effectiveness of problem resolution by monitoring production performance after solution implementation.
• Identify control methods (Control Plan) for assembly processes by conducting and updating PFMEAs (as applicable).
• Ensure that data capture and reporting systems are used for KPIs (FQC: DPU/DPPM; IPQC: DPU/DPPM or other related systems) to enable end-product quality management in the process.
• Use data capture and reporting systems that enable end-product quality management as the basis for decision-making regarding inspection percentages. • Prepare and maintain KPI reports and monitor performance regularly.
• Ensure machine inspection/verification is completed within the scope of new solution development projects, engineering changes, or procurement.
• Conduct product and process audits.
• Contact and visit customers to provide support when quality defects are detected in our products and to understand their perception of quality.
Create and maintain FQC work instructions, testing procedures, and support the development of SOPs.
Write product testing procedures and work instructions as needed.
Conduct internal product or process audits (ISO, LPA) and support the regional internal audit program.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the PFMEA/Control Plan.
Promote the use of continuous improvement techniques such as Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) as appropriate.
