Directs and oversees materials management functions within the business unit. Leads all activities involving the planning, procurement, warehousing and inventory analysis for production parts, indirect materials, and equipment. Candidate will personally, or through subordinate supervisors, be responsible and accountable for performing the following duties.
Owns strategy development and execution for end-to-end supply chain. Oversees planning and scheduling, purchasing, shipping/receiving, and inventory control.
Develops strong processes to ensure that the organization has optimal levels of direct material to meet consensus build plan while minimizing excess inventory.
Maintains accurate and timely shipping/receiving records and inventory counts. Assesses departmental performance, identifies opportunities, weaknesses and risks, and suggests operational changes to ensure the efficient supply and movement of goods.
Creates, maintains,
and tracks metrics to indicate overall process health and opportunities for continuous improvement
Collaborates with Director, Logistics to ensure strong processes between the two departments and support strong compliance.
Manages relationships with and oversees activities of suppliers or fulfillment partners.
Ensures appropriate training plans and documentation for planning, procurement and materials personnel
Experiencia y requisitos
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, business or related field.
12+ years; incl 8+ years people leadership experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Billingual: English and Spanish
